COVID-19 and eCommerce: Adapting to the Big Change in Our World
Firstly, we hope you and your family are keeping safe during this time – the sense of uncertainty is stressful but keeping yourself busy and positive does help.
That said, with all that’s going on right now, it’s tough to know how to move forward. Like most, we too are figuring out how to respond to the big changes each day and are focused on the safety and health of our employees and associates.
But the reality is – many of us still have businesses to run (to save?).
This is why our team has collectively agreed to open-up additional complimentary support for our customers and the wider merchant community as eCommerce teams come to terms with the impact of COVID-19.
Right now, we’re helping eCommerce teams make messages go-live on their storefront – from informing visitors about shipping delays to explaining why brick and mortar stores are temporarily closed. We are here to help and serve our eCommerce community. It’s the least we can do.
I asked Karen Borras, our Customer Success manager, to share some thoughts on why we mobilized on this effort: “Our services team woke up Monday morning and knew that in midst of it all, what we can do is bring solutions to help during this chaotic time. So, the question arose, how can we help? We want to make sure that not only our clients have all the assistance they need for their sites but that our community knows we are here for them too”.
What if you’re not a customer of HiConversion?
As you may have noticed, there are a lot of opportunistic marketing promotions floating around right now, so we all have to tread carefully and respectfully while continuing to grow our businesses.
Now is not the time for the hard sell – as our marketing leader I have been coaching our business teams to be mindful when we do inevitably engage with new prospects. We are all learning how to operate in these strange times, and personally I believe this brings out the best in people and teams.
So, in the spirit of togetherness, I’m reiterating our commitment to open-up our expertise to any eCommerce team that might need it right now – and if we cannot help you directly, we will connect you with folks who can.
In the meantime, we are always here for you on support@hiconversion.com and quick to respond on Twitter @HiConversion.
